The place was clearly understaffed. Took me 45 minutes to get my fish dinner. The skin was burnt and it was doused in so much garlic I couldn't taste anything else. The fish was well cooked however and the potatoes were good. Wish I had gone elsewhere Service: Dine in Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Love love love love Phillips Street Restaurant. I never would have known it existed, but a Portuguese-American friend recommended it so enthusiastically that we had to check it out. It's just out of the way enough, and looks nothing like a restaurant, that I never would have accidentally stumbled upon it. Portions were huge, staff and clientele incredible friendly, menu was varied, and it had that awesome other worldliness feel - the combination both of being in a basement and our server not speaking English. So very awesome and so very off the mainstream circuit of greater Providence restaurants. Don't come for glam decor. Come for an awesome, belly-filling meal and a genuinely warm and welcoming vibe. Rabbit was already sold out by Saturday dinner time, but we were advised to come for Saturday lunch next time - apparently the rabbit is where it's at!
