Worth the hype! We went here on a Monday night - it can get busier from 8-9 so I’d recommend getting there at 7ish. Really friendly staff, passionate about Philly and Cheesesteaks. The owner is great - he spoke to all customers and showed extended interest in my watch which we had a nice chat about. Would highly recommend a visit. YES. YES. YES. Behold, the most glorious, meaty sandwich in all of Tokyo! It’s a gatdam rarity to eat a sandwich in Japan and feel like you’ve eaten a proper meal. But here, you are treated properly like you have an American appetite. Their sandwiches are flowing with soft, fall-apart-in-your-mouth beef with melted cheese (burned my tongue). Yet the best thing about this is probably the bread. That hoagie is made in-house and it makes ALL. THE. DIFFERENCE. You of course pay a pretty penny for the sandwich, but it’s worth it. The staff are all pretty friendly and speak English as well. Fun vibes all around. But be prepared to wait in line I came on a rainy day on a random Wednesday thinking it was gonna be no wait, but NOPE, people were lining out the door. My new favorite cheesesteak comes from Tokyo @nihonbashi_philly - There’s no steak better than Japanese steak; shaved and combined with both their homemade seeded roll (sturdy yet soft) and whiz (creamy and not too salty), every element of this cheesesteak is phenomenal. Special mention to the cheese fries! An interesting cut, like a double wedge/V-cut. Crispy and potato-y just like I love my fries! Cheese on the side ofc! It was a great home away from home moment for us! I’m so grateful we were able to try! I’ll definitely be back! See you in Tokyo (or maybe even Philly)!!#gobirds #arigatougozaimasu 4.2.2026 Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
