Purchased a reasonably edible premade veggie sandwich here. We didn't linger, but the chairs looked inviting for an afternoon's read with a cup of tea.

Even if you're not staying right at the Asilomar Conference Grounds, just a short stroll from any of the quaint hotels among Asilomar Drive, you can find Phoebe's Cafe. Food is always fresh. It's Monday, the day after Easter, and very quiet. Today we had the breakfast ham, cheese and egg on sourdough, toasted perfectly and hot, along with the spinach quiche served hot as well. Each accompanied by a cup of fresh fruit. Perfect to split. They offer coffee, teas, cold drinks, adult beverages (beer and wine). Nice, relaxing place to enjoy a bit of brisk fog while the sun peeks through. Easy access on the boardwalk to and from the beach. Friendly service.
