When you book, make sure you read the fine print. We had to cancel our Saturday evening reservation so we called 1.5 hours before the scheduled time and we got charged 50€ per person for it, so we spend 100€ as a couple for not going... They dont tell you on the phone when you book, but when you call to cancel they said it says it in the email confirmation they send you. You avoid it by canceling a minimum of 6 hours before, so practically, if anything happens to you during the day and you can't go, you just lost 50€ per person. Obviously, not planning to risk it again, shame to be treated like this.

Dear Illias,We are sorry to read your review, but we feel it is important to clarify a few points. When making a reservation, guests are required to provide a credit card as a guarantee, precisely to protect the restaurant in the event of a no-show or late cancellation. Otherwise, there would be no reason to request one in the first place. Our cancellation policy, which requires a minimum of 6 hours’ notice and provides for a charge of €50 per person, is clearly stated in the reservation confirmation email. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. However, cancelling just an hour and a half before your scheduled arrival, particularly on a Saturday evening, has a real impact on the restaurant, which has held a table exclusively for you while potentially turning away other guests.A credit card guarantee is not a mere formality, nor are our cancellation terms optional. They are necessary measures to protect the work, organisation, and commitment involved in running a restaurant. We regret that you perceive the application of a previously communicated policy as unfair treatment. On the contrary, we believe that respecting commitments should be a mutual responsibility, both for the restaurant and its guests.

Firstly, I would like to start by saying the appetizers here were very good. The main course falling flat is an understatement. I ordered the veal and was served a plate of lunch meat w/ mayo - which was said to be a traditional Roman dish though this traditional Roman dish has thickly cut veal. This dish that was served at Pianostrada seemed like an insult to the actual traditional Roman dish and for like 30 something euro nonetheless (insane). I make sandwiches with better lunch meat honestly. Also the service was insanely slow - 2 hours for a mid tier meal and a 200+ bill- please pass on this place if you can.
