Adding to my review a year later: Still love this place, always enjoy going to get my drink and sometimes lunch. We recently got a custom cupcake order for our daughter’s birthday and they came out perfect! I showed the owner a picture I found online and she recreated them so well!! Amazing.

I stopped by Picasso bakery today as it’s been on my radar to try from Ridge Restaurant reviews on Facebook. I got a few pieces of cake tiramisu, lemon cake, fresh fruit cake and a bag of cookies. I am not sure in which restaurants or bakeries the chef has gathered their info but tiramisu is very espresso forward and there was zero hint of any espresso taste. This was very strange and I didn’t realize it until I got home and looked. It was like chocolate cake in the bottom a cream filling in the middle and then what appeared to be a vanilla cake on the top with cocoa powder. Traditional tiramisu is eespresso soaked ladyfingers, whipped marscapone, and then cocoa powder. I understand certain deviations but this resembled nothing like tiramisu I have ever had. Whoever served me was very nice but I asked for her recommendation and it was tiramisu!! I am really glad I’m not basing this review solely on that piece of cake. It needs to be called something else because its resemblance is not tiramisu. See picture. I feel as if my money was wasted on this cake something that I don’t have a lot of. The lemon cake had good lemon flavor. And the fresh fruit cake was very light and what I would expect from a fresh fruit cake. I have not tried the cookies yet. The owner has a record of all these reviews I’m sure and can reach out to me for future correspondence if they wish and try again then I can amend my review Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Thank you took your time to gave me this review. Im very sorry you did like my tiramisu cake. I did the tiramisu cake which is chocolate cake on bottom, soak with espresso syrup , mascara one cheese mix with wine with ladyfingers , top layer is mascarpone cream and sprinkles cocoa power. I know those has something change not traditional tiramisu. I used those ingredients all from Canada and totally handmade that why I recommended to my customers to try. Anyway I'm very appreciated you told us your feeling. About the fresh fruit cake is chiffon cake with fresh cream and fresh fruit on top. Thanks your time to read this. If any question Im very welcome to hear you and reach me at 778 883 0329 - Poppy
