A random detour to Macroom to secure an NCT appointment. What a beautiful little cafe and deli. Grabbed a toasted special with chicken, 'nduja, cheese, spring onion and chimichurri mayonnaise. Amazing as was the cinnamon roll - light, fluffy, with an amazing buttercream frosting. I'll be making another detour back here, no NCT recheck necessary. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20

If you're looking for great quality delicious food I highly recommend pickled. They do amazing sourdough rolls and tasty salads not to mention their baked goods. Its a small (takeaway only) establishment in the back of macroom square a few doors above the Briery Gap. I've been a customer of theirs since they opened and I literally crave their food. They use fresh ingredients and have generous portion sizes. Their coffee is devine and if you're lucky enough to see their sausage rolls on offer grab one, you wont be disappointed.
