Piece Brewery is known for doing seasonal pizzas. Heads up! This review is only for their amazing collaboration with The Happy Lobster Truck. I have made it an annual ritual to go to Piece Brewery at the very least once on a Tuesday during the month of August. During the month of August on Tuesdays only they have huge Maine lobster pizzas with nice big chunks of lobster. Squeeze lemon over it and sprinkle oregano and red pepper flakes over your long warm cheesy soft slice and fold it like New York style pizza and take a hearty bite. Yes $25 might seem like a lot, but it is SO worth it! I feel so strongly about this that I brought 13 people with me on my last trip there and treated them to 6 pizzas. It is dine in only though so you have to sit down and enjoy so maybe make a reservation ahead of time if they allow you to or go there earlier to put your name down. The servers were so nice that they allowed my huge party to utilize the party area since it wasn't booked that night and we greatly appreciated it. We happened to come on a night when they had run out of lobster and were waiting for more lobster to arrive (just another testament to its popularity). They allowed me to take one pizza to go because we had to wait, which usually isn't allowed but that was great customer service. In the meantime we ordered salsa and chips, guacamole and chips, and warm spinach and tomato dip. All were very tasty but the spinach and tomato dip took the award for the best and was the best of the 3. We should have ordered more of that dip it was so good but we wanted to save room for the pizza. It's a great hang out chill place for friends looking for good food and potentially some game watching since there are plenty of TVs around. They have a bar area so they do card at the door but you can still bring your children. Try it out! I am interested in trying more of their pizzas especially their seasonal ones! Don't miss out!
This place was way bigger than expected and the hosts had no issue sitting our four top right away, even on a night when a 'big game' was on. Overall, it's very loud and lively but not loud to enough to where you can't hold a conversation. My boyfriend and I ordered a white pizza with chips & salsa(not the best pairing, I know, don't judge)while the other two got drinks. The only negative thing I have to say is that the chips and salsa were just very...well? Boring? Sure, it's chips and salsa. But for $6 I wanted a life changing revelation! The cocktail my friend ordered(I can't recall which one) tasted my like cough syrup, even after mixing it for several minutes. BUT ANYWAYS! The white pizza. First of all, it came out maybe 20 minutes after we ordered, which was fantastic considering the place was packed. They place the pizza down right at face level to elate all 5 senses! The medium is for 2-3 people, but my boyfriend and I destroyed that thin crust pizza like ravenous badgers. Like the pizza, the service was also fantastic. Our server was quick and efficient despite all the tables she probably had. So kudos to her! Overall, it was a really nice experience and will definitely return with a group of friends the next time I'm in the area!
Is it football season? Are you hungry? Do you like pizza? Do you like beer with your pizza? If you answered yes to those questions, this is your spot. If you answered no, this is still your spot for all of your sport game needs, good food, and nice atmosphere. I would totally come here on a Sunday just to eat pizza and watch football. There's ample space and the staff has the system down-packed. We ordered the honey fried chicken pizza, and even though that combo sounds weird, it was amazing! We shared a medium between 3 people and still couldn't finish it. We also ordered the artichoke dip, which was fire. We'll be back next time we are in Chicago!
