We stumbled across this gem over the weekend and ordered a berry pastry and the rocket and tomato pizza as per the images. The cafe also has a coffee window on the right side if you want to order a takeaway coffee. The cafe was more on the expensive side however we had a lovely experience and it was a nice Saturday treat. We hope to be back to try their pasta menu which looked delicious from the people around us! Thank you to the staff who were kind and offered good service. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Various options available.

My son and I had a lovely experience. Fran was lovely and engaged in being attentive to my son who was in his chatting mood. I loved the coffee, food we had inside, desserts and gelato we took as takeaway. Not to discredit some other reviewers which shared some harsh criticisms of the place, however I found it interesting they did not appear to have self reflective insight to how their mood and expectation may have affected their experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Enjoy a taste of Italy at Pierluigi right in the heart of Toorak Road, east of Williams Road. This exquisite gem certainly put the "Good" into my "Friday". I was instantly mesmerised by the enticing pastries in the window, along with large beautiful tins filled with chocolate eggs from Italy. So in I went and was greeted by friendly smiles and warm welcomes, along with the most delectable pastries and fanciful desserts. Further along they serve a variety of Gelato. Keep going and you'll immediately notice the influence of Italy by the visual appearance of the high quality savoury food. Packed with flavours to awaken your senses and have you coming back for more. I definitely agree with Amber in relation to my choice ~ "best eaten with your hands".
