Nestled in the charming town of Wernigerode, Restaurant Pietsch offers an innovative and exciting modern gastro-concept with Asian-inspired cuisine. The establishment's minimalistic interior design and cozy ambiance create a relaxed atmosphere perfect for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. The price range is on the higher side, but the quality of the food and service justifies it.
The menu consists of a single 13-course set of small plates that showcase the kitchen's creativity and expertise. Dishes like the melt-in-your-mouth Unagi, marinated Kolenfisch, and sous-vide Ei with potato crumbs and chive-infused oil are just a few examples of the exquisite and memorable flavors. The Pak Choi leaves with kumquat and vanilla for dessert is a creative and refreshing combination of bitter and sweet.
For drinks, the restaurant offers a unique and experimental wine accompaniment, including natural, rustic, dry, white, and orange wines. The non-alcoholic accompaniment features creative fruit and vegetable juices with exotic combinations like kimchi and sour cherry.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft, providing detailed descriptions of each course and drink. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating, adding to the overall experience.
In conclusion, Restaurant Pietsch is a fine dining spot worth visiting for its exceptional cuisine, innovative concept, and attentive service.

Restaurant Pietsch in Wernigerode: A culinary masterpiece My most recent culinary journey of discovery took me to the Pietsch restaurant in Wernigerode, where Robin Pietsch and his team conjure up a true symphony of flavors on the plates. As soon as you enter the stylishly furnished restaurant, you can feel the dedication and attention to detail that runs through the entire evening. The menu impresses with its sophistication and complexity. Each course is a work of art in itself that sends the taste buds on an exciting journey. The combination of high-quality international and regional ingredients and innovative preparation methods shows the chef's creative signature. The harmony of flavors and the carefully balanced textures, which give every bite a special tension, are particularly impressive. The wine selection in the Pietsch restaurant is equally remarkable. The carefully curated wine list offers the perfect accompaniment to every course, further enriching the culinary experience. The recommendations from the attentive and very knowledgeable staff always hit the mark and rounded off the menu harmoniously. Another highlight of the evening was the excellent service. Robin Pietsch's team looked after each individual guest personally and very attentively. The general friendliness and private atmosphere helped us feel completely comfortable and welcome. Last but not least, it should be mentioned that the experience at Restaurant Pietsch is worth every euro. The quality of the food, the service and the ambience fully justify the price. We enjoyed every minute and are already looking forward to our next visit. Five out of five stars for an exceptional dining experience that will be remembered.
