Amazing! Everything! The pizza was hot and crispy and the monthly pizza was perfectly spicy. What made this worth reviewing was the customer service, once told they were a card only business they had allowed me and my girlfriend to pay in cash! Best pizza spot, definitely coming again.. with a card! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I live in the neighborhood and have passed by Pilot Pizza so many times while walking my dog. It always looked kind of quiet, but something about it kept catching my attention. One night, about 30 minutes before they closed (and yes, I had the munchies), I finally decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did. Since it was late, there weren’t many options left, so I grabbed four corner slices of the Detroit-style pepperoni and cheese. Let me tell you even being the last pizza of the day, it was *amazing*. Seriously better than a lot of fresh pies I’ve had from other popular places around Chicago. The crust was crispy, the cheese was perfect, and the flavor was just on point. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, even that close to closing time. I really appreciated that—they didn’t make me feel like I was an inconvenience, which can be rare when you show up late. I’ll definitely be back soon. If you’re like me and have been walking by this place, wondering if it’s worth it—go in. Try a slice. It’s absolutely worth it. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
