It is the greatest place near Sunset Station Historic Entertainment District. That's a nice idea to order tasty pork ribs, bacon and sliced brisket. Good bread pudding, blueberry crumble and cobbler are the tastiest dishes. Some visitors recommend delicious beer, whiskey or margaritas at this bbq. It's time to degustate great lemonade or good tea.
Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. Employees are creative that's what makes Pinkerton's Barbecue so good. Prices here are reported to be adequate. You will appreciate the homey decor and charming atmosphere of this place. 4.5 is what this spot got from the Google rating system.

Friendly staff. Highly recommended by several locals (including hotel concierge). We came on a Monday (yup, they're closed), so came back again the next day. Easy order system. 1. First cold sides (we got cole slaw) 2. Second hot sides (we didn't get any, but the Jambalaya was tempting) 3. Third the meats! Prices are by the pound (e.g. $30/lb for brisket, etc.) We got 1/2 # of brisket and 1/2 # of glazed pork ribs. Clean dining room. The only unfair comparison is that we had Reese Bro BBQ the day before and man, that place is better than Pinkerton's. But Pinkerton's is close to downtown/Riverwalk if you're staying there.

Had lunch at Pinkerton's Barbecue and was absolutely blown away! The atmosphere is inviting and lively, perfect for enjoying some top-notch barbecue. The brisket was cooked to perfection - juicy, not too dry, with flavors that dance on your palate. The ribs were another highlight, literally melting in your mouth with each bite. But let's talk about the Gangster-style Mac and Cheese - it was off the hook! Finished the meal of with the Banana Pudding! All this Paired with great service and an impressive bar selection, Pinkerton's provided one of the best BBQ experiences I've had in America. Highly recommend!
