Mediterranean and Kosher cuisines are nice at this restaurant. Many visitors come here to enjoy perfectly cooked schnitzels, salads and shawarma. Pita Grille is recommended for the friendly staff. The terrific service is something these restaurateurs care about.

The place is great. Awesome fresh food. I'm not a vegetarian but it's easy for me to fill up here on a great meal without meat. The schnitzel and burgers are also very good. These guys work hard and it shows. Very clean, high quality food.

Tried the food here for dinner and was a mistake. When had lunch with friends the pita sandwiches we shared and falafel was great so tried to serve dinner and regretfully it was my last time there

The LA Fitness plaza has been lacking a solid, casual restaurant to quickly drop in and out of. So once Pita Grille opened up a few doors down from where I work, I decided to give them a try. I placed an order on the phone so that it would be ready once I arrived. I ordered the Shawarma Gyro, specified the two toppings I wanted, and was told 15 minutes. I arrive 15 minutes later, and it's not ready. No big deal, I'll sit and wait. It took another 10 minutes. From the looks of things, they were still trying to fire things up. I placed my order 30 minutes after they opened, though, not immediately upon opening. On a side note, I noticed that their floors were very sticky. I could hear the stickiness as I walked around. Apparently they don't have a good system of communication because although I specified my toppings over the phone, the man who prepared my food asked me what I wanted on it. Whatever, it's not an issue. So I go tell him my two toppings: coleslaw and onions. He then reaches for the hummus and I have to stop him. He then almost scolds me because apparently I "don't know how" to eat his culture's food. So sorry that I don't like mashed chickpeas, dude. He looks in disbelief as he asks me what toppings I want, so I repeat myself. He gets the two toppings, then points to a tomato-cucumber salsa and asks if I want that. I decline, and he again says that I "don't know how" to eat his food. The way he was saying this bothered me. Who is he to almost scold me for not liking hummus and the other toppings? What if I did like hummus, but didn't feel like having it on my gyro that day? And anyway, I paid for my food so I want it made the way I like. I take my food and go back to the office. A couple things worth noting. First of all, the way he stuffed the pita was not conducive to eating. He cut a slit in the pita, scooped in my toppings, then scooped in the meat. Therefore all of the coleslaw and onion were sitting at the bottom of the pita, separated from the meat above it. Secondly, I'm pretty sure that my gyro only had turkey in it. The menu clearly states that the Shawarma Gyro is turkey and lamb, and of course the lamb is the best part. So I was bummed about that. It tasted alright - it wasn't bad, it wasn't great. The turkey did not taste hot and fresh. Today my boss tried their Orange Chicken - he said the chicken was undercooked and the vegetables were overcooked (with the exception of the squash which was also undercooked). They were also out of broccoli. My mediocre Shawarma Gyro was $10 - pretty steep for a gyro that didn't have the lamb it was supposed to. I'm not impressed. Meh. Maybe that day was a miss, maybe this place is mismanaged, maybe I'll give them another shot... Maybe, maybe.
