This is exactly the kind of PizzaExpress you’d hope to find in a town like Teddington. Housed in a characterful old building with plenty of space inside, it has a relaxed atmosphere that encourages you to settle in rather than rush through your meal. The large windows overlooking the green only add to that feeling. The pizzas are reliably good, exactly what you’d expect from PizzaExpress, and the staff have always been friendly whenever I’ve visited. Service can occasionally move at a gentler pace, but somehow it feels in keeping with the laid-back character of Teddington rather than being a source of frustration. You’re not in the middle of a busy city centre where everyone is racing against the clock. If you’re after a quick bite, there may be faster options nearby. But if you have the time to slow down, enjoy a good pizza and soak up the relaxed atmosphere, this branch is well worth a visit. It’s the sort of place that suits its surroundings perfectly.
