I visited this place for the first time. The food and service was great, no doubt in that; however, at the time of making the payment, the server named Jiyun (the name written on my receipt), asked me why I didn’t pay the tip and if I didn’t like the service or food. I replied with a polite smile and tone that I definitely liked the food and the service; however, I will tip next time. The server didn’t respond to what I answered and had that weird expression on her face as if she is mad at me for not paying the tip. I understand tipping to a service is a kind and expected gesture but it’s customary and not mandatory. I might would not visit this place again. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

It's fine , it's just Japanese food , nothing exceptional nothing bad . Like if you're craving sushi then this place is very serviceable and will get the job done. Pretty good prices too for sushi nowadays Only thing that stood out was the takoyaki , the crispy ness on the outside was simply delightfully . I will come back if I'm craving Japanese food. Service is fine no complaints. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Recommended dishes: Sushi

Okay parents - don't patronize this place anymore. - they now have an anti-young children anti-stroller policy.

I've come here for the past few years and service/food has been good.

But now - over the past few months - maybe because of new management or new policies- children are not welcome. And mine are well behaved.

Okay Sushi Garden Metrotown - kids aren't welcome? My money goes elsewhere.
