*Update;. After being away for some months and visiting again, we see that the place have improved significantly. The food quality has become more stable, the service level more attentive and the waiters more professional. And we are very happy to see this. *. We eat at Pizza Rover quite often, simply because the food is mostly ok, and some times even very good. It's also very reasonably priced. But unfortunately it's also a matter of luck. The head chef clearly knows cooking, but is clearly careless about quality control. Which can result in food so salty that it's not edible. Or meat far beyond expiry quality. Especially be aware of Samosa and the grilled meat. The waiters are somehow friendly and tries their best, but totally without any kind of knowledge of the basics of their work. It's as if a carpenter who doesn't know the difference between a hammer and a saw. As far as I can see they are employed without any kind of experience and by someone without any knowledge about restaurant routines, service or customer care. Usually some of the food or drink orders doesn't come to the table, but still shows on the bill. And of some reasons the bill comes immediately, so you get another bill or two if you order anything more, as a dessert, soda or coffee. The staff just appear to be very inexperienced young boys and girls, who's happy to get any job, with a leader who neither knows the job and therefore is unable to train and teach them. So all they can do is to try their best by repeating mistakes over and over again. This is clearly a management who don't have any experience or knowledge about the restaurant business, but with a good concept and knowledge of how to turn every shilling to save money to make profit out of it. Except the economic part totally useless. With a manager, front of the house and chef who knows what their job implies, this could have been a great place. And maybe some day they will reach there. Until then we have to deal with the up- and down food quality, low service level and somehow chaos. It also got some kind charm...
