Pizzeria Toro is a local favorite and has been loved by everyone in Durham for years. Their pizza is the absolute best. The Tuscan kale salad and ricotta dumplings are not to miss. And don't get me started on the zeppoles with hazelnut chocolate. But my favorite thing about Toro is honestly the warm, cozy vibe, and the extended hours (as most places are closed on Mondays or close early for dinner in Durham). The service is also outstanding. Everyone who works at Toro is so friendly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: They have vegan and GF options; their pizzas are also seasonal with some regular menu items.
