Had the buffet lunch. The staff, service and ambience are very good, however the thing that really tripped up the whole experience is the food. Specifically the sashimi. You can actually smell the staleness standing near it. When we complained to the staff, she immediately removed them and tried to replace it with some fish that looks washed and bland Price per person: RM 100–120 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I recently booked a candlelight dinner at the Planters Lounge, E&O Hotel, with high expectations, especially for its renowned sunset view. While the ambiance was undeniably beautiful, the dining experience fell short. The food was underwhelming and overpriced, which was disappointing for a 5-star luxury hotel. I noticed a lack of attention to detail from the F&B staff, such as not refilling water for guests automatically. Additionally, the presentation of the dishes was concerning—yellowing broccoli leaves were served, something that should never happen in a 5 stars hotel lounge. My beef dish was overcooked and tough, making it a poor dining experience overall. While the setting and atmosphere were lovely, the food and service need significant improvement to meet the standards of a 5-star venue. I hope the management team addresses these issues to enhance the overall experience. For now, it was just above average. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: RM 200+ Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
