SoulEdge: Spartacus Thunderbolt Arrived on site, early morning after a brief miscommunication at Solara, ( see my review of Solara, title SoulEdge: Spartacus Thunderstrike ) I met Jon. He gave me good service. Yes the place was busy. I ordered the Blackened Catch ( fish sandwich) & Coleslaw. I had declined the Brownie Gelato dessert. Due to I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt & business pants. And its the Summer season. Good on the portions & taste. Looking forward to stop by again & trying the dessert. Kudos to Jon, the service personnel, & the security team who guide me. Visit dedicated to my then German American ex girlfriend who looks like Lagertha from a vikings tv show. As she'd say "When given good service. Pay it Forward or Pow right in your kisser (meaning me) & to the moon lol." Cue in the song "One More Time" by 7Lions and song" Cruel Summer" by Taylor Swift Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Definitely NOT fine dining. It's a beach & pool bar. Valet parking line was long and the restaurant neglected to offer a parking voucher. Enjoy your snack in your swimsuit. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

We had a really disappointing experience at Playa at The Diplomat Beach Resort. We were seated and waited about 25 minutes just to place our order, which was already frustrating. After that, we sat for over 50 minutes with no food, no updates, and no check-ins from our server. A manager eventually noticed and came over and asked what we were waiting on, only to discover that our order had never been entered at all. What made it worse was watching other tables around us, including ones seated after us, already receiving their food. That’s when it became clear something had gone seriously wrong. They did comp the meal, which we appreciate, but the overall response felt very indifferent. There was no real sense of urgency or ownership of the situation. Mistakes happen, but this felt like a complete breakdown in service from start to finish. Unfortunately, this experience makes it hard to recommend dining here. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
