Every so often the "find food near me" search sends us to somewhere special. This place is jist that. First, the menu is small. If you don't want a burger, chicken sandwich, or shrimp po boy, you may be out of luck. However, if one of these three works for you, expect something delicious. The food is awesome, prepared with healthy, organic, non-gmo ingredients. It's made with the love of a mom feeding her kids because that who the owner is, a mom feeding her kids (who I was told sometimes help out when not in school.) When you are finished with your entree, I hope you leave room for dessert . We had the home made ice cream sandwich and the fried pie. The sandwich was really good but the pie was magical. It's served hot so get it with ice cream. In short, this is one of those places that is so worth trying. I am rooting for them!!! Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

What a great find. Simple menu but great food. I especially appreciate that they use beef tallow. So hard to find simple great food nowadays. Pleasant Counter is now one of my new favs! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
