From the moment we walked in didn't feel welcome, maybe the staff were under pressure, who knows the reason.
We'd pre booked the table and the food.
Some of our party were told ordered options weren't available like it was our fault.
Still had to wait over 40 minutes for the food.
I had one of my favs in the past, hunters chicken, what a disappointment on this occasion.
Chicken overdone and dry. Sauce non existent, cheese stolen and bacon hammered. Chips were ok, salad ok.
Wasn't particually cheap and wasn't good value.
Didn't bother complaining at the time as couldn't see the point with the staff present and were now running late due to the wait.
Not sure why the standard has dropped recently but will give it a miss for a good while now after this visit.
I will add some of our party enjoyed the food they had so maybe it was just chicken they can't cook anymore, this is a great shame as the rosterrie chicken in the past was always a highlight of the menu but has now been kicked into touch for this very inferior method of cooking.
Hope they sort themselves out and can do something to improve how the staff feel about the work.
