I had the chicken Amontillado on a lettuce bun and it was a surprisingly large portion! The flavors were great. I was disappointed that they were out of the vegetarian option at 8:30 on a Saturday night though. My husband got the buffalo shrimp tacos and he thought they were good. Service was average, beer was good, atmosphere was neat. I suggest stopping if you want something a little away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Amontillado Chicken Sandwich, Fries, Buffalo Shrimp

Hi Julia, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We apologize for running out of the vegetarian option—it's always our goal to have everything available, and we'll make sure to restock better for future weekends! We appreciate you stopping in and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you both again soon.

Happened upon this place totally by accident after arriving at Ghost Coast distillery to only find out by a local/former employee that they closed down about a month or so ago. But at least we found Poe's Tavern as we walked down the street dejectedly. It's a cool new spot in Savannah, will definitely return on our 5th trip here-- add it to our typical itinerary, up there with The Olde Pink House and The Artillery. Bartenders are great, full of information and good conversation. The kitchen staff was great too, the mountain of nachos were fantastic-- finally, a place in Savannah that KNOWS nachos! *cough cough* don't go to Moon River *cough cough*.
