Took out a regular build your own bowl. I was impressed with the amount of fish they included, with the salmon tasting sweet and fresh! The brown rice was cooked well, and I liked that the crab meat was not very moist (but still maintained a creaminess). I did wish the "sweet" corn was a tad sweeter, it had more of a muted flavour. In addition, the bowl needed more sauce! The classic shoyu had a nice flavour, but it was only added near the beginning with the proteins and vegetable mix-ins. Therefore, the sides and toppings were unfortunately quite dry. It would have been nice to have an option to add more sauce at the end. It came to $17.80 with tax, which seems like the standard nowadays. Service was friendly! I went at an off-peak time around 1:30 pm on a weekday. There is limited counter seating inside. I'm a frequent lunch customer at Pokerrito on Dunsmuir. The aburi bowl and hanuama bowl are my favourites! The food is always very fresh and portions are big.
