My husband and I came every weekend for their excellent brunch when we lived nearby but now I just love to stop by when I can. I am originally from Mexico City (Polanco, actually!) and this reminds me of home. Always fresh, delicious food. Salsas are great and you never leave feeling gross and bloated as most “Mexican” food places. A true gem in Rice Military! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I don’t say this lightly, I’m a total food snob. I grew up Mexican, eating authentic homemade Michoacán-style food, lived in New York for 12 years, and have traveled extensively trying different cuisines. My standards are high. I woke up today craving enfrijoladas like crazy, and after a quick search, I found this spot nearby. Let me just say WOW. From the first bite, I was completely blown away. I practically inhaled the entire plate. It instantly transported me back to Mexico City, the only other place I’ve had enfrijoladas this good. Nothing has compared until now. If you know, you know. And if you don’t, do yourself a favor and come try it. This place is officially food snob approved. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is the kind of feedback that inspires our whole team—thank you. Knowing our enfrijoladas brought you back to those flavors from Mexico City is the highest compliment we could receive. We put a lot of care into keeping things true to their roots, and it means everything to hear it resonated with you. Looking forward to your next visit!

Authentic Mexican food. Great service and atmosphere. Prices are higher but definitely worth it. When you taste the food, you know there are no corners cut. Everything is fresh and you can tell it’s homemade. Nothing from a can. Their black beans are amazing. We tried the picaditas, mole chilaquiles, pastor tacos, lamb barbacoa tacos, and chorizo papa taco. So so good! Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed review! We truly appreciate you recognizing the care and quality behind what we do. From our black beans to the mole, everything is prepared in-house with fresh ingredients — no shortcuts, ever. Hearing that you could taste that difference means the world to us. We’re so glad you enjoyed the picaditas, mole chilaquiles, pastor, lamb barbacoa, and chorizo con papa — that’s a great lineup! Thank you again for your support. We look forward to welcoming you back for another homemade experience soon!
