This little café is really a hidden gem located close to the train tracks. Everything is hand made, you can feel the love and the mastery of the craft with everything on the menu. We had a bit of everything as a group of 6 and I loved every single item on the menu. Staff is wonderful and will help in every way possible. Highly recommended ! Our visit to Pony was unforgettable. It is a small restaurant quite far away from the city centre and opening hours are short, but it is definitely worth it to plan the day around having a lunch at Pony, especially if one is vegan. The restaurant is fully vegan and the dishes are made from local vegetables. The taste is heavenly, I would not be surprised if they get a Michelin star in the future! The staff is very friendly and polite, I do not think they have an english menu, but using Google Lens we easily translated the japanese menu and managed to order what we want. If we ever come back to Kumamoto, we will definitely be returning to Pony. A huge thank you for the owners and staff for bringing vegan cuisine to Kumamoto! Everything has been extremely tasty. The Burger was one of the best ones I ate in Japan. Also, there are not many vegan options in Kumamoto so definitely go and support this lovely little vegan cafe Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
