I've been coming to this place for years, and it has never let me down! My go-to order is the lobster fried rice, and if they have that green pound cake.. I've honestly never had a bad experience here. The hostess always greets you with a smile, and the wait staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and amazing. Great customer service goes a long way, and they always make you feel welcome. Yes, it's a little pricey these days (thank you, inflation ), but to me it's worth treating myself every now and then. Plus, the portions are huge, so I'm basically getting two meals out of it—dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. That's my kind of math! I'll definitely keep coming back. At this point, I’m convinced Poor Calvin’s is personally trying to ruin every other restaurant in Atlanta for me. Every time I come here, I think, “There’s no way it can be this good again,” and somehow they prove me wrong. I can honestly say this is some of the best food in Atlanta-maybe even the best. This visit I promised myself I’d branch out and order something new. Enter the Shaking Tiger Beef… and WOW. It was so ridiculously good that I’m literally going back today just to order it again. Zero regrets. Future me can make better decisions another day. The food alone would keep me coming back, but the people are what make this place unforgettable. Ruben and Gabe treated me like I was family from the moment I walked in, and James was an absolute gem. We ended up talking about life and the hospitality industry, and it felt like catching up with an old friend. Amazing food, incredible service, and a place that somehow feels both special and welcoming every single time. Great food with a very knowledgeable wait staff. The space is pretty intimate so be aware that seating is tight, but it's well worth it. The cocktails were great and the food was truly exceptional. Looking forward to coming back and trying other items in the menu. Price per person: $50–60
