I was torn with leaving this review because the manager did resolve our issue or thought she had but we still got robbed in the end unbeknownst to her. She did not give us a hard time but I really felt uneasy with the staff and their questions about food I returned. I placed a large order --had no issues initially other than the macaroni was left out but they gave me that with no issues. We drove home -- I set the food out for the kids to get and eat. As I went in to fix other plates I saw the chicken looked discolored. I told them to put the chicken down and let me take it back to get fresher chicken. Keep in mind I bought a lot of food which meant quite a few mouths to feed. I got in the car, drove back miles away, showed them the chicken and how dark it was --quite scary looking. The young lady I showed it to asked what was wrong I told her and she yelled back for a manager to come up and went on to the next person. The manager came and she looked at it but said it looked that way because it was spicy chicken. But she was very friendly, she told another young lady to fix a new box of chicken without hesitation and smiled and went on. I thought we were done. But the young lady who fixed the box turned around and asked rudely "what was wrong with the chicken, and I repeated myself that it was old or either cooked in old grease but the chicken was dark. Not a spicy dark but dark as in old." She said rudely it looked that way because it was spicy. I looked at my daughter because clearly I am not about to get upset or fight over a box of spicy chicken. Like what is really happening right now. She put down the new box of chicken and asked if that looked better, I said yes it actually does. Low and behold we got home and the young lady gave us a box of mild verses spicy I guess so it would look lighter and better. So here is my concern. I spent all this money on food to feed my family. I drove home, I drove back to Popeyes and then back home again. Keep in mind gas is high. Not once did I ask for a refund so I wasn't trying to get over on them. I asked to replace the old chicken praying it would be a better box. The lady on the register had also made a comment that a few pieces were missing. I said yes becuase the kids grabbed a couple I told them to put it down. I didn't think to say put old chicken back in the box, my main concern was NOT to eat the old chicken -- put it down. Keep in mind it was still about 9 pieces of the 12 pieces left in the box. I didn't care if they only replaced 9 or been courteous enough to replace all 12 for the inconvenience. But their whole mindset was that I was trying to get over. WHY? Who drives that far and back and does it again at the rate of what gas cost? Not once did I say give me my money back, not one time. I had hungry people and I wanted decent chicken. Long story short, I eat popeyes at least once a month if not more from various locations. I know what spicy looks like and it was not what I had in that box. I took pictures but for whatever reason, I cannot upload them here. They talked to me like I didn't know what spicy fresh chicken should look or taste like. But again the manager made it right so kudos to her. I just don't want anyone to get sick from old grease or old chicken -- but that chicken wasn't chickening and something needs to be done for a better presentation and taste. And in fact at this point, I hate I didn't ask for my money back because she gave us mild in which we don't eat the mild. So in the end we still had no 12 piece box of chicken. All of that time and energy and most importantly, money, was a waste. We could only eat the tenders/wings and sides. The mild was horrible. So sad so sad. I just wanted some chicken y'all and at this point a refund would be even nicer because that was a terrible ordeal for the amount of money spent. For a Friday night, I think that the service was exceptional. The staff worked really hard to get everyone their orders in a timely fashion. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 4

SEASONED FLOUR, BLOOD SCARRED CHICKEN WITH A SIDE OF VERY BAD ATTITUDE: Last night @10:15p.m., though, I have not been at to this location in some time. Due to my past experience with this location's Unprofessionalism and Ghettoism. However, that was a while back so I decided to swing by. Plus, the line was not long. And, thankfully, now they have an automated system which takes your order. So, my order was correct. However, once I paid for my order, per my receipt to Host: Hi 430354 (AI021240). I kindly requested a receipt from the young man who served me. He NASTILY said, the receipt is in the bag. In addition, to never asking did I need condiments, etc. Less than professional behavior. Truly, that young man (for lack of better term) acted as if I had chosen his job for him. The attitude he was giving me was deplorable...SMH. Especially, considering you chose to deal with the public. Moreover, his attitude towards me was not warranted, as I was nice as pie. But, I digress. As I begin to eat my meal, I noticed that the chicken had dark soaked dried blood throughout the flesh of all 3 pieces I purchased. Sadly, I paid $14.31 for a meal that ended up in the trash. This location has a ton of work to do. It's sad because it used to be my go to place for a quick meal. However, I after my experience from last night; I will not be patronizing this location anytime soon.
