I wanted to have a beer, but I felt discriminated against for not being a local. It’s a real shame because I went to the bar specifically to experience the local culture. I can’t recommend it at all

Recently celebrated my 21st birthday there and had the most wonderful time everyone was so great and accommodating for my group and it ended up being a fantastic night to remember Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a friendly welcome we couldn’t have asked for better, after 2 nights felt like regulars. Eamonn( The boss) Steven,James and Joan were all part of the family that run the pub and are the most friendliest of people. A fully stocked bar that’s spotlessly clean, a large lounge and garden area are all available. Our visit coincided with the Tipperary music festival and can highly recommend a visit to the pub and venue over the 4 nights it takes place. We visited a couple of other pubs in the town but non compared to The Porter House. Thanks guys for making our trip memorable. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
