Broken my own rule to stay away from the tourist traps but had the family in town so a meal and a view of the bridge/harbour was in order. Given the very casual nature of Portobello’s appearance and menu I expected a reasonable and pleasant meal. Food was outrageously expensive on all accounts - quality foremost, portions and presentation. Service was a shambles and generally an overall unpleasant experience. Rule reiterated.

Delicious homemade gnocchi and nice fish. Very nice views and attentive service. The food was a little cold and seagulls were a bit of a pain. Relaxing time though, will come visit again.
