Went in on Saturday afternoon for lunch to eat with my husband and our new born. My newborn needed a change. We asked the staff if there was a changing table in the restaurant toilet, to which the answer was NO. Our car was parked very far away as the parking at Mission Bay can often be difficult to find. After looking around at most guests who were sitting at least 4-5 metres away, we only had one immediate set of neighbours, (whose food was not out yet). I asked our immediate neighbours, if it was ok to change our baby - to which they said it was absolutely fine, so i placed her on the chair where no one else could see our baby and started to change our baby. The manager quickly ran up to us and told us there were toilets in the bathroom where I can change my baby. I said, the staff told us there were no changing tables in the toilets. All while thinking to myself if she thought my baby could lavitate while I changed her.
Then she rudely went on to say loudly as all others watched that I shouldnt be changing my baby in the restaurant and that there are other people eating. I said no one could see her or smell her and I also asked the immediate neighbours before I started to change her. Absolutely Rude. I may have been wrong but no need to create an embarrassing environment for us. Make the toilet space child friendly if you have issues with such things.
