There was only hot water this morning for the showers, hot enough to boil and egg, cold water would not even come out. Walked to reception at 7.20am to ask for help and it was shut, nobody to be found! They came at 7.40 to start preparing breakfast which starts at 8 so forget starting early. Dinner was horrible we had to send a dish back (trout ceviche) and the other dishes very mediocre. It turned out it was only my room as the cold water tab was closed (now I understand why I could not flush the toilet all night). Still they should have checked this before they gave me the room. Things happen but the fact I could not find anybody to help me was very frustrating. I got no apologies or a sorry for the inconvenience or anything along those lines This is a rustic hotel which is very old and full of character, but it is NOT high end or even close. Very understaffed and the service that there is has NO training with tourist even though they do try. So if you are looking for charming character and are willing to put up with lousy service and bad food this is your place, but if you are looking for upscale do go elsewhere

Wonderful place to connect with the mother Nature, no techonologies just quiet sound of birds frogs. Traditional meals and juices are the Best part. Just My advice: turn off cell phnes and let this quiet place be part of you

We were very disappointed with our room at Posada Ingapirca. I now realize that the photos we were shown were of the upstairs rooms, which are much nicer. Out room was very small and stank of mildew, and was very noisy because there were people drinking and making noise directly outside of our ground floor window.... there is literally a bench outside our only window. We had no privacy at all unless we were inside our room with doors and windows closed and no ventilation. Disappointed.
