Superb dining experience on our last night in Kauai The food was delectable fresh and so flavorful beginning with our fennel salad appetizer and edamame humus . Drinks were delicious and beautifully presented as well . Our entrees were exceptionally delicious and our dessert wowed us as well .. all in all we want to say thank you Postcards for helping us celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.. we are so happy we found you and enjoyed such a memorable evening .. This charming little restaurant in Hanalei is surprisingly understated!! We were seated at a table for two on the porch by an elderly gentleman. Initially, I was a bit underwhelmed by the menu since there weren’t enough vegetarian options. Boy was I wrong! We ordered the crispy leek salad and Yaki Nori Tofu - both were delicious! I generally like leek. My spouse tried it for the first time and really liked it too! The Yaki Nori was epic! It was a simple, yet very elegant dish! The grilled daikon, broccoli and mushroom in that sauce was heavenly! The flavors really came through! The tofu needs a special mention - it was wrapped in nori and slightly grilled - amazing! Everything was so harmonious on the plate! We’d the Chevre cheesecake - it was amazing too! The lilikoi jelly, apple compote was crunchy and added delicious texture to the cheesecake!! Location lovely - we had been there before and wanted to try other menu options as the menu is limited but generally tasty - this time was awful - marlin dish was disgusting unless you like very expensive completely raw fish- it was described as rare - it was way less than rare - turned
Your stomach. also the waiter forgot to bring the teas and we did ask the other waiter to remind him. No response.
Dessert was the best part . Would not eat there again.
