Greasy spoon diner hidden in south Tampa. I'd driven by Potbellies for years. I always thought that I should check it out, but there were always other places that were shinier that caught my eye first. I finally checked it out. I called ahead to place my order, and I was told that it would be ready in 2 minutes, so I drove right over. After parking and checking in with the waitress, my food wasn't done yet. So probably give them 10 minutes after placing your order before you expect the food. The waitress asked if I needed utensils and jelly on the phone (I didn't). Food was well packaged and still hot when I drove the 5 minutes home. I got the Spinach Supreme omelet. The omelet had spinach, onions, mushroom and bacon in it, and it was topped with hollandaise. It came with my choice of potatoes and bread product (I chose the home fries and a biscuit). The omelet was fine. The spinach was fresh, the mushrooms were good, the onions were not browned but they were at least cooked until soft. The hollandaise was probably unnecessary, and it wasn't very remarkable. The home fries were crispy but needed either the hollandaise or hot sauce. The biscuit was utterly forgettable (I should have taken the waitress' advice and gotten a side of gravy for it and/or ordered toast). All in all, it was decent greasy spoon food. My omelet was just about $10 with tax, which was a decent price for the amount of calories involved. I don't go out for breakfast often, and I'm a little past my greasy spoon diner days, but every so often, I get an urge, and I'm glad there's a local place where I can scratch that itch.
