Listen, I've been coming here for years but haven't learned my lesson until now. Be wary of ordering carry out because 90% of the time it's not ready or it's wrong. Today it was 30 min late. I'm sorry I tipped ahead of time, again. I'm trying to help the service industry folks since I used to work there too, but the ownership clearly takes zero responsibility l. They said someone took my order but I've heard that one before and my name was still on the 'Being prepared' board so that's surely a way of hiding behind the mistakes. They will NEVER comp you for the hassle. They may offer a useless piece of paper for a cookie at a later date, or like today, a cup for soda I didn't want. I gave the cup back. I've tried to be cool about all of these mistakes but from now on I'll only be going to the Arundel and Dobbin locations. I see the responses from the owner and clearly they're just talk because nothing changes. Service: 1

Love potbelly food. No doubt. Stopped here for lunch on a Wednesday and used the app to order. When I checked the order board there were 12 orders on there. I looked at the walk-in line and monitored the last person in line to see how long it would take if I did not use the app. Well I was for sure still waiting when he paid but really the entire store seemed short staffed. 4 team members and could have used 6. At least 20 minutes for the line and 30 for my online order which was entered as "ASAP". Hard to justify using half my lunch hour waiting. Sure I could "learn the ropes" and order well ahead but that kinda defeats the whole "Toasted hot sandwich" thing. I really feel like they could do hundreds of dollars more during their lunch if they had the right staffing.
