Two glasses of tea and two quesadillas served in a paper boat $40.00 ???? Only about 6 meals on the menu and 7 appetizers. It's bar food at best. Friendly staff but, this place will be lucky to survive till Halloween. Shame, so much history.

Permanently closed. It's really difficult to come up with 85 characters when you're just trying to say they're closed.

No more than 2 stars for the Pow Wow. I need to have a quick powwow with the chef. More flavor needs to be infused. Del's, my go-to spot to eat when I visit the lovely hamlet of Tucumcari, was closed. They observe the holy day, which is cool, but it condemns us travellers to seek other, less accommodating places to take sustenance. We have to scour the depths of hell just to find a place that's open other than Lottaburger (although that place comes into play later, read on). It's a big restaurant, plenty of seating. There were a decent number of folks who were in the same boat as I. All of us dining at the heathen joint that doesn't close its doors on Sunday. Good for them. Someone needs to feed  us as we trek on our pilgrimage. I was seated at a nice table just on the periphery of the Lizard Lounge. It wasn't too exciting at the Lizard Lounge. Just a few old folks in there shedding their skin. Remember, it was a Sunday night. My server took my order of a burrito covered in Christmas sauce, red and green. It was actually my second choice. I wanted Chile Rellenos, but it was not to be. Pow Wow was out. No chilis. God help me. God didn't help. My Christmas burrito showed up fairly quickly, but after a couple bites, I knew that it wasn't going to be a merry Christmas burrito. I started on the red end, which I'll call the Pow, and worked my way to the green end, which I'll call the Wow. There was no Pow in the taste, and when I got to the Wow, well, that palindrome didn't come through either. The meal filled the void in the stomach but didn't even approach the minimum expectation for taste. There wasn't any. It left my mouth chalky. I had to rid myself of that, and that's where Lottaburger comes into play. On my way back to my hotel, I made a quick stop for a chocolate shake. That clensed the palate, but not the pasty memory of Gods wrath, which is the Pow Wow. Quick Tip: Garlic, onion, a touch of cilantro, and bacon grease instead of lard. God wouldn't have made pigs if he didn't want their rendering incorporated into Mexican food. So please use Gods tasty bounty. The servers were nice and efficient.
