Came here for dinner with friends and tried a few different items along with a bottle of wine, but the truffle risotto and pesto fettuccine were the biggest highlights. Only real complaint is the price for water and the hot atmosphere. They seated us next to the pizza kitchen and it was summer, so even with fans running we were overheating. Aside from that, we had an excellent experience! Will definitely come back and simply request a different table. For the first: My wife and I like italian food may be more then other kitchen; all august '23 we spent in Italy and my wifes uncle is a famous cook in Salerno. For our best surprise we found an italien restaurant on Koh Samui, and we didn't expect very good food, so far away from real Italy. But... the offered starters listened very well: Cozze e vongole and for me calamari fritti. And we tried it. When the service brought it, I immediatly asked, who was the cook. Bcs it looked very well italian, not only italian style... - The taste was great and realy original, as you usualy onky find in good restaurant in Italy it'self. I got curious more and more... After we tasted handmade fettucine nero with seafood and spaghetti vongole I was sure, no Thai and no Nonitalian is able to create it. I ordered the cook to our table... and Piero was coming. CONGRATULATION FOR THIS EXCELLENT DINER! Yes, Prego Samui is the best and absolute authentic italian restaurant outside Italy were ever we ate. ( ... and althoug in Italy lot of cooks could learn from Piero ...) Be sure my friend, the next days you will see us again . Buona notte.
