I have been a loyal customer of Aujourd'hui Demain for years, and it's always been one of my favourite places in Paris. What made it so special was not just that it was vegan, it had incredible variety. The menu offered everything from comforting brunches (amazing pancakes), creative mains (quesadilla was to die for), excellent drinks (peanut butter lattes hummm) and truly outstanding desserts (that you can still find and order so to be honest this has not changed too much). It felt unique, welcoming and unlike anywhere else that is on offer in the Paris vegan scene. It makes sense why the team may have prefered to separate concept store, close the café/restaurant and open a new restaurant. Running aujourd'hui demain was certainly challenging. That said, I take the time to write a review because I am genuinely disappointed by the new concept. Instead of the vibrant identity that made Aujourd'hui demain stand out, Present feels like it's aiming for a more convential "bistro" experience with a more understated vegan identity. For me it reflects a broder trend where businesses seem less willing to highlight plant-based cuisine than they were a few years ago. Also, when it comes to refined vegan bistrot positioning itself, Faubourg Daimant does an amazing job at this already so expect for desserts which remain amazing and available (cheesake) I really do not feel an impetus to come to présent again unfortunately :( One amazing thing at Aujour'hui-demain and Présent that I want to highlight though is their attention to gluten-free options. It's amazing for Paris. My heart remains open to Présent and I do not this review to seem too harsh, Aujourd'hui Demain was just truly exceptional. For now thought, I cannot help but miss the originality, abundance and personality that made the original concept such a favourite of mine. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

A lovely place, such a find! It’s rare enough to find vegan food in Paris, but to have it this thoughtful and with some traditional French cooking was so nice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Fun and some throwback classics like brasserie type food. The only minus for food is I wish there were some more fresh or vegetable based dishes. Even a green salad or some kind of fun treatment of veggies or a lentil dish maybe. Great atmosphere. Nice wine list. Trendy spot and 100% plant based. Cool. My favorite dishes were the vegan croque monsieur and the meatless terrine! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
