I’ve visited this restaurant twice previously for lunch and had excellent experiences with both the food and service, which is why I was disappointed with my recent dinner visit. I made the reservation specifically for a birthday and noted the occasion in advance, including a request for a pleasant table. However, upon arrival, we were seated in a high-traffic area and had to request a different table. There were also several instances where our requests were not properly communicated or addressed. For example, one guest requested a substitute for the mashed potatoes, but the request was overlooked and the entrée arrived with the fish served directly on top of them. The birthday celebration was another disappointment. Given that the occasion had been noted with the reservation, I expected some acknowledgment, such as the customary dessert and candle. Instead, we were presented with a tray of desserts, and I ultimately had to approach the manager privately to request a slice of cake and a candle. Overall, the lack of attention to detail and level of service did not meet the standard I had experienced during my previous visits. For a dinner costing over $200, I expected a much more attentive and thoughtful experience. I hope management will take this feedback seriously, as I would like to see the restaurant maintain the high level of service that I experienced during my earlier visits. Home Instead Northwest Indiana located in Merrillville Indiana hosted some of our Caregiving Staff at Prime Steakhouse for lunch today. We received EXCELLENT food and dessert. The staff at the restaurant was wonderful and attentive as well. The atmosphere was very nice overall, highly recommended. Thank you! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40
