If you want to go to a truly local restaurant, The Prince of Wales may be a good choice. The quality of the meal is excellent and the waitress Ellie was friendly. The price is very affordable. The atmosphere was family friendly at least on Sunday lunchtime - quite a few grandmas and grandpas watching football. Plus, their air conditioner is really powerful (perfect for hot days).
