I visited this restaurant yesterday and ordered a biryani and a can of Coke. I have actually been a regular customer here, visiting around twice a week, even though I have never found the food particularly impressive. However, after what happened yesterday, I will definitely not be returning. A female staff member took my order. She brought me the can of Coke, but after that I did not see her again. I waited for more than 30 minutes for my biryani. During that time, I could see the till manager moving around and serving other customers, including customers who had arrived after me, while I was still waiting for my food. Eventually, I asked the manager how much longer my order would take. Instead of giving me a clear answer, I was simply told to wait. There was no clear indication of when my food would actually arrive. The staff member who took my order never came back to check on me, apologise for the delay, or explain what was happening. The only thing she did was bring my Coke and disappear. I was trying to be patient because I genuinely wanted to have my meal. However, after waiting for more than half an hour without any proper communication, I felt that my time was simply not being respected. Eventually, I went to the till, told the manager that I no longer wanted the order, and left the restaurant. What happened afterwards was even more disappointing. Approximately five minutes after I left, the till manager followed me down the road and stopped me, demanding that I pay for the can of Coke. I want to make this very clear: I had NOT opened the Coke and I had NOT drunk it. I had left the unopened can on the table while I was waiting for my biryani. Despite this, the manager insisted that I had consumed the Coke and demanded that I pay for it. The way he confronted me in public and raised his voice made me extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. If I had opened and consumed the drink, I would have had absolutely no problem paying for it. That is not the issue. The issue is that I did not consume it, and I was still confronted and accused after leaving the restaurant. Delays can happen in restaurants. I completely understand that. But customers deserve communication, basic respect and professional customer service. If my order was going to take a long time, I would have appreciated simply being told. If there was a problem in the kitchen, they could have explained it. Instead, I was left waiting with no clear information, and when I eventually decided to leave, I was followed outside and confronted over an unopened drink. The food itself has never been the main reason I kept returning. But after yesterday's experience, the customer service and management behaviour have completely changed my opinion of this place. I will never visit this restaurant again, and I cannot recommend it to anyone based on my experience yesterday. I am sharing this review so that other customers can make their own informed decision before spending their time and money here. For me, yesterday was enough. Never again. I honestly cannot remember having such a frustrating and unpleasant experience at a restaurant before. I visited this restaurant this evening and ordered a biryani and a can of Coke. I have actually visited this place regularly, roughly twice a week, despite the fact that I have never found the food particularly impressive. I continued coming because I expected at least a reasonable level of customer service. Unfortunately, today’s experience was enough to make sure I will never return. A girl took my order, brought me the can of Coke, and then disappeared. I waited for more than 30 minutes for my biryani. During this time, I watched the till manager walking around, serving other customers, including people who had arrived after me, while my order was apparently being ignored. I eventually asked the manager how much longer my food would take. Instead of giving me a clear answer or checking properly, I was simply told to wait. There seemed to be no clear idea of when my order would actually arrive. What frustrated me even more was the complete lack of communication. The staff member who took my order never came back to check on me, apologize for the delay, or even explain what was happening. The only thing she did was bring the Coke and then disappear. I was sitting there with an unopened can of Coke on the table, waiting for food that seemed to have no definite arrival time. I tried to be patient because I genuinely wanted to have my meal. But eventually I felt that my time was simply not being respected. I decided I had waited long enough, went to the till, told the manager that I no longer wanted the order, and left. And then the situation became even more ridiculous. Around five minutes after I had left the restaurant, the till manager followed me down the road and stopped me, demanding that I pay for the can of Coke. To be absolutely clear: I had not opened the can. I had not drunk the Coke. I had left it on the table while waiting for my food. Despite this, the manager insisted that I had consumed the Coke and demanded payment. He confronted me in public and raised his voice, putting me in an extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing situation in front of other people. If I had opened and consumed the drink, I would have had no problem paying for it. That is not the issue. The issue is that I did not consume it, and after already wasting more than half an hour of my evening waiting for an order with no clear explanation, I was then followed outside and confronted over an unopened can. This was not simply a case of slow service. Restaurants can sometimes be busy and delays can happen. The real problem was the complete lack of communication, lack of customer care, and the way I was treated when I decided to leave. If an order is going to take a long time, just tell the customer. If there is a problem in the kitchen, explain it. If a customer has been waiting for more than 30 minutes while people who arrived later are being served, at least acknowledge the situation and apologize. Instead, I was left sitting there with no information, and when I finally decided to leave, I was followed outside and confronted over a drink I had not even opened. I am genuinely shocked by the way the till manager handled this situation. That interaction completely ruined any possibility of me ever returning to this restaurant. I would strongly recommend that the management seriously reconsider how they train their staff in customer service and how they deal with customers when something goes wrong. For me, this was the final visit. I will never return to this restaurant, and based on my experience today, I cannot recommend it to anyone. If your time and being treated with basic respect as a customer matter to you, I would personally think twice before choosing this place. One of the worst customer-service experiences I have ever had. They are not even suitable for giving the one star as well. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
