After enjoying Richmond Cottage, go to Prohibition that is not far away. You can always degust nicely cooked pork burgers, fried chicken and onion strings - a special offer of this place. It's time to degustate delicious craft beer, cider or wine. You will be offered good coffee.
The warm atmosphere of this spot makes visitors feel relaxed and have a nice time. The efficient staff at Prohibition can demonstrate how much they like their customers. The fabulous service is something these restaurateurs care about. Clients of this place say that they found prices attractive. Also, the decor is nice. But this spot hasn't got a high Zomato rating that displays that Prohibition has something to improve.
The place was fully booked so we opted to sit at the bar. The waitress that served us was awesome told us the specials and recommendations if she liked.
We ordered the dory, my boy blue and a side of broccoli. The fish was awesome looked crispy and full of flavour also well seasoned. I got my boy blue the blue cheese was light and its was a nice touch for them to ask how I would like my patty cooked. It was balanced and delicious. The garage project beer was a great addition to the burgers. I'm very happy to rate this experience and can't wait to go back to try the rest.
Well done team. You killed it
We had a long ish wait for a table which once ready we just had to find ourselves, so up we went. As soon as we sat down one of the wait staff asked if we were ready to order - we hadn't been given menus at that point yet and while the service was friendly there was clearly a bit of confusion amongst the staff as to who was doing what. One of them finally took control and our ordering process smoothed out.
One burger and some sides made it to the table safely - but the fish burger took an unfortunate nose dive to the floor just as it was being delivered. Oh well - these things happen, and another was promised.
The biggest disappointment for us was that the food was barely warm. The second fish burger was a little warmer than the lamb and chicken Burgers - I assume that was due to it being a replacement, but the lamb burger in particular was cold to the point of being almost inedible. The bun was cold and soggy on the bottom, patty not warm enough to even start the cheese melting, and the rest of the toppings were a cold unappetising mess.
On the sides, they were well flavoured with nice shavings of Parmesan scattered through, but were again luke warm, and the chipotle mayo lacked spice. The chips accompanying the kids burger were nicely seasoned.
It appears a lot of effort had gone in to the flavour combinations here so it's sad that the same effort isn't put in to ensure that food is served hot all the way through.
