A great place to grab a drink and a bite. We had a dirty martini + their espresso martini. Both amazing. The prawn cocktail + bao buns were also top notch. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is THE place to be any day of the week. Incredible craft cocktails, delicious bites, great prices especially during their generous happy hour. Special shout out to Will, who always goes above to remember us and make sure our experience is amazing. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Proof is typically a go-to spot for us to enjoy a cocktail, however our last two visits have been rather disappointing. We attempted to come in for the Miracle on 1st Street Christmas pop-up and asked the man at the front if there were any tables available. The man was extremely rude, said there’s no tables available. I attempted to ask if there were any seats available at the bar top as there were multiple visibly unoccupied. The man turned away from me stating no they’re not available. I then attempted to ask if there’s a good time to return or if there are reservations available later on. The man kept his back turned to me, wouldn’t make eye contact, and replied “no” while fiddling with the iPad at the front. We called ahead yesterday to try to make a reservation to which the man on the phone states “no, you should be good for a table in the next 45 minutes - we don’t take reservations.” We presented to the front and were greeted by the same host from our previous visit and the one my fiance spoke to on the phone. We were asked if we had a reservation to which my fiancé explained that we called ahead to make one but were told we wouldn’t need one and couldn’t make one over the phone. The host sighed and said “they can be made on OpenTable” then took us to two available seats. We ordered two cocktails, the cheese board, and a hot dog to share. It took over 45 minutes and us asking if the food was on its way for us to finally receive it. The host from the front also came by with a bottle of water, refilling other patrons water glasses, which we also did not have. He mistakenly poured water into my fiancés cocktail glass which still had minimum two drinks left in it. The host apologized, however we still were charged full price for the cocktail my fiance wasn’t able to fully enjoy. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience at one of our favourite cocktail spots. Because of these two experiences, we won’t be rushing to return anytime soon. Service: 2 Price per person: $50–60
