The worst customer service experience I’ve ever encountered. My family have lived in east doncaster for over 40 years and we’ve always know it to be an accepting community for families, especially with young children. With this in mind, I was absolutely disgusted with the way we’ve been treated at this cafe. The minute I walked in with my 2 young children (1 and 2 years old), I was greeted with a “kids this isn’t a playground” and when I questioned the man, he then went on to say “when you only pay $4 for a coffee we don’t expect your children to make a mess”. My 2 yr old son then got scared and took a while to leave the cafe, and the man then yelled at me for the third time says “this is no a child care get your kid out of here”. I will never return here again and suggest no one with children visit this cafe as it’s definitely not children friendly. Having read multiple similar reviews regarding treatment of families with children, I can assure you this is a very accurate encounter.

This is the worse cafe dining experience I've had. Rude and insensitive owners. The cafe owners were oblivious towards the seriousness of food allergy especially given that they are in the hospitality industry. My less than two years old son is allergy to dairy. Upon ordering I specifically ask for soy babycino as well as soy chai for myself and I mentioned that he has dairy allergy. I checked to make sure the food does not have dairy and was assured that there were no dairy. I gave some of my supposed to be soy foam on my chai latte to my boy as he enjoyed the soy babycino so much. He had half a teaspoon and as I sip on my drink I realised it's dairy milk and not soy. As expected my child breaks out in hives immediately. When i raise the issue to tell the owners they need to be careful and take food allergy seriously, upon which the owner became very defensive, raised his voice at me and kept talking over me without allowing me to finish my sentence. He said he had camera that showed I gave my adult drink to the child. I didn't realise it's an offence to share food and drink with my child?? then the wife go on to put the blame on the food which my child didn't even touched because he was too distress with the itch, then she went on to blame it on the chai and even insisted it was soy milk as if I can't differentiate between milk and soy. There were no apology from beginning to the end. The guy were just raising his voice trying to defend himself putting the blame on me. Just as well I'm a pharmacist and could take the whole allergy thing quite calmly and under control and thanks to my friend's hubby who had kindly rush to the pharmacy to get the antihistamine for me which the owner didn't even offer any help neither show any concern. They didn't even offer any discount which I couldn't care but my intention was just to point out to them about the seriousness of food allergy to which they too it too far being super defensive over it. Will never step in this cafe nor recommend to anyone. On the other note...the food here is pretty mediocre anyway.

Property of Little One cafe is a local hidden suburban little gem! A must visit if you are in the Doncaster/Doncaster East/Donvale vicinity.

I was in the area for a property inspection when I randomly spotted this cafe, and since it was close to 1.00pm I thought, I need to eat, so I walked in for lunch.

?LOCATION?
Property of Little One cafe is located within the row of shops called Beverly Hills Shops off Cassowary Street.
Your landmark to easily turn into the street is Beverley Hills Primary School is located on the corner Blackburn Road.

People that live in Doncaster East area ( I used to) would know the Beverley Hills Shops - its always been a very quiet strip of shops with many closed.  But having some cafes in this area does alot of good to cater the local community.

The cafe is a very quaint and cute set up. Modern with minimal decor. Nice writing on the walls with cut out letter blocks.

?SERVICE?
Fantastic customer service as soon as I walked in.  I was seated straight away and given a menu and bottle of water and glass.

I could see that alot of people come in for take-away coffee as well as take-away food which is quite nice. Service is attentive and warm, it feels like you're being looked after which is a nice feeling.

I  had 3 different staff come up to me within 5 minutes, one was to ask if I wanted to order a drink, other was to ask if I had ordered yet and would like a drink first and the other was to take my order.  Very attentive.

?MENU/PRICE?

I ordered:

Wild French, $18.00
(French Toast with house made cheesy chorizo filling, smashed avocado, sauteed mushrooms, asparagus, soft poached egg, tossed with feta cheese)

Mango Match Smoothie, $8.00

I was very keen to try the Pistachio Avocado Smoothie, $8.00 however they were out of Pistachio's that day.

?VERDICT?
It was hard to choice of what to eat, but I decided Wild French and I was in for a real treat. The French Toast was massive, with sesame seed, it looked like there were 2 layers with the middle filled with cheese chorizo. The flavours was delicious as all the ingredients balanced very well with the salty chorizo and the lightness of the avocado and poached egg. Beautifully presented on the plate. The price is very decent as well which is great.

The Mango Matcha Smoothie was very nice. There is pieces of mango meat in the smoothie, the matcha is light so that its not overpowering but still as the flavour of the mango and green tea.

Property of Little One's menu is fun and exciting as it's a nice change from the standard brunch menu's you see in Cafe's! The food on their menu is very well priced and affordable compared to other cafes. The cafe is managed by Asian's who are super friendly and down to earth. They look after their customers so well which is nice.

I will definitely return with friends in tow to try the Zucchini & Corn Fritters, Chin Chin and Salmango! Hopefully next time I can also try the Pistachio Avocado Smoothie!!
