I was disappointed with my sirloin peppercorn steak. It was nicely cooked and the sauce was very nice, but the meat was either a low grade or not properly trimmed. I had to saw through and spit out a lot of gristle. As usual, the complimentary soup and buns were awesome. Dietary restrictions: My wife asked for no garlic in the special, beef stroganoff, and they must have done so as she didn't have the side effects of her allergy. Parking: There is free street parking on Sundays. There is a parking parkade about two blocks away if there are no spots on the street. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Recommended dishes: Salad Bar, Beef Soup, Beef Barley Soup of the Day, Fresh Rolls, Buns with Soup, Soup and Salad Bar Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking, Paid parking garage

I recently dined at Prospector Steak House in Thunder Bay and loved it. I started with a beef soup, followed by crispy calamari with tangy sauces. My main course was a medium cooked steak topped with shrimp, served with fresh asparagus. For dessert, I enjoyed a warm, crumbly treat with creamy ice cream and caramel.
