Prost DC has the atmosphere and the beer selection absolutely nailed. The Paulaner and Spaten Oktoberfest Ur-Märzen on tap, served in proper 1-liter Masskrug steins, is the real deal — cold, fresh and exactly what you'd expect from a proper German biergarten. Prost to that! The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience enjoyable overall. Where it fell short was the food. The schnitzel while it looked the part with red cabbage, mashed potatoes and a grilled lemon was dry and lacked flavor. Having eaten schnitzel in other cities like Sydney where the quality was noticeably superior, this one didn't hit the mark. For a restaurant that puts so much effort into its beer program, the kitchen needs to match that same energy. Come for the beer, enjoy the vibe, but manage your expectations with the food.
