Hands down the BEST bar in DC!! I’ve seen great reviews online, but the experience was even better than imagined. The place is cozy and intimate. When you walk in you immediately feel like you’re being welcomed into someone’s home. The aesthetic, the playlists 1110/10. The staff are all beyond kind and friendly. Danny immediately made us feel at home as he explained the personal story and flavors behind each drink. I cannot say enough about how great the ambience, service and drinks 110000/10. The baked Alaska is a MUST TRY. I’ve never had anything like it before and cannot describe how priceless of an experience it was. Also, you can ask for a little gato on your drink and take it home for a small adoption fee!! Can’t wait to go back again!! Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Providencia is pure authenticity. A perfect blend of unpretentious speakeasy, neighborhood gathering spot, and eclectic drink menu — this cocktail bar combines its many elements to deliver a superior experience. The owner-bartenders clearly care about sharing their story. A mix of cultures and countries expertly delivered in every glass. Innovations in the American cocktail scene are harder to come by these days, but Providencia provides them in spades. I expect that is because Providencia has what so many bars and restaurants lack these days: an identity and a point of view. That alone is worth experiencing. Fortunately for us, that is easy to do. Saddle up to the bar on your next date or huddle upstairs with friends over sips that whisper of adventure. You won’t regret it. Food: 5 Price per person: $30–50
