I can't believe what I've just eaten! The best cooked fish and chips I have eaten in a restaurant. It was superbly fresh fish, and cooked to perfection, succulent and moist. The batter was not ordinary either, it had turmeric ( well, something yellow) colouring. Looked amazing. The chunky chips were outstanding! Boy, someone knows how to cook here. Love the name too. Puffing Billy. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was good, service was friendly. Bit disappointed with Chef who couldn't provide a simple mushroom or tomato for the steak as advertised and puddings took ages.

We had a lovely bank holiday lunch with family at the Puffing Billy Inn this weekend. We definitely recommend their Antipasti di Pesce - an absolute joy in every way! Thanks for making us feel welcome, for being attentive without hovering and for the beautifully presented, delicious food! We'll definitely be back again soon.
