Excellent authentic German fare! My wife and I were warmly greeted by owner Artie Glad and served by Lisa, one of Pumpernickel's efficient & friendly servers appropriately dressed in their dirndl/lederhosen attire. Once we tasted their delicious fresh baked pumpernickel bread, we could hardly wait to dig in to our meals! We devoured generous servings of sauteed Weinerschnitzel bratkartoffeln with sauteed mushrooms and Sauerbraten with potato dumplings and gravy. We both shared delicious sides of red cabbage and sliced carrots. To top it off, I had a Pilsner glass of Spaten draft Oktoberfest beer ... yummy! We'll be going back to Pumpernickel's real soon!
