Sad to hear Punters has closed it's doors for good. I haven't been there since the early 90's. Best man at my wedding went to Northeastern and his brother (also one of my Groomsmen) went to Wentworth. We spent many memorable and forgotten nights in Punters, stumbling in off the T for last call. It was a Boston institution, and deservedly so. For all the people that have posted negative reviews, you are absolutely right; and sadly for you, you just didn't get it. You were unable appreciate it for what it was and that's a shame. You're loss. It was a little bit of Jersey smack dab in the middle of Bean-town (no offence to the red sox crowd). It was wicked cool and a little rough around the edges. To quote risky business, "Princeton could use a guy like Punters". Spent many of my best younger days at this "Irish Dive" and have nothing but fond memories. If you ever had the chance to go there, you'll know what I mean. Forever in our hearts, gonna miss you Punters!

This place is an iconic pincturest landmark ofBoston. I always recommend new people in town to visit Paul Revere’s house, and finish their day at Punter’s Pub. This place is certainly nothing fancy; in fact, the bathroom is always puked and nasty, the place stings to old beer and the owner is always grumpy. However, the atmosphere filled with cheap beer and friendly camaraderie incite everyone to play a good song in their jukebox while drink heavily and very cheaply. So in the end, having a good night with less than 30 bugs (in Boston) it’s nothing but a win! I do recommend it.
