#62/2022 Indeed five star bar across the board Been here a few times but never yelped it Oh yes you're in Orland Park Illinois the pyramid supermarket and prepared food. A very well-known staple amongst the Middle Eastern community and a whole lot more. It sees people of all different walks of life as far as culture goes in and out of the doors a very well-known established and reputable for its excellent food. Depending on which door you walk in the side door you're looking at the deli and the counter first thing you notice are a whole pile of hookah pipes stacked up for your smoking pleasure if you need supplies. If you come in through the regular entrance it's like walking into a grocery store you have a small convenience store sized four or five aisles stuck to the brim with pretty much every kind of Mediterranean Middle Eastern halal and a whole hell of a whole lot more that you can if you cook can buy already prepared. I was impressed with the selection the canned food all the different styles of chickpeas and nuts and many other things they have cookingware too. Also if you're a fan of baklava they have a fantastic selection there they even have boxes of It kind of measure the old Fannie Mae Whitman samplers already boxed up and ready to go of different styles. They have some fresh produce it's very limited though they're little selection. But basically came in here for vittles. One of the better places to get some good Mediterranean and for those that wanted halal stuff. We basically had our own little personal buffet like always when we order too much food lots of leftovers. Started out ordering for Mom she got a chicken shawarma, nicely prepared she enjoyed it and I really weren't any sides with it but we had extra sides ordered that'll be listed. Dad got the kebab plate. Basically lamb beef mixture skewered without the skewers sized it comes with their wonderful yellow basmati rice seasoned nicely. Has onions and in the two dishes you have your standard Arab salad and hummus. I got the beef shawarma dinner. Which was lamb beef mixture sliced up on top of the basamiti rice. I did not like onions so I opted for the Jerusalem salad which was excellent for one of my sides and the hummus. We also end up getting two large orders I don't know why of baba ganoush and more hummus. Their hummus is very much raved about their tahini sauce the chickpeas the way they prepare it when you read reviews online from different social medias Yelp included people rave about it it is fantastic we also got some extra pita bread. Also got two spinach pies which I think are known as something else halal or Mediterranean (fatayer) got it Greg And I opted for a side order of the grape leaves excellent nicely rolled seasoned and I like some kind of juice I don't know what it was like a lemony thing and of course in the nice rice stuffed and wrapped in steamed perfectly. It was a major serious yummers and oh yes of course we also got a dozen falafel so we reach we're able to get four a piece. I had three with all that food there was a lot of leftovers that they were going to have the next day good for them as I'm going to be out of town that day but that's okay I had my fill and I enjoyed the hell out of it excellent job keep up the great work like always and definitely a great place when you first walk in you wouldn't expect that kind of food but can't judge a book by its cover.
