Nos encantó la experiencia en Qala el lugar es muy lindo, con una hermosa vista al río Tomebamba, el servicio es excelente, fueron muy atentos y cordiales, la comida estaba muy buena, pedimos papas Qalas y un Tiesto Mar y Tierra, nos ofrecieron 1 espumante de cortesía, 100% recomendado. A FOODIE’S FIND OF AN OUTSTANDING RESTAURANT SPECIALIZING IN TIESTO (South American version of the Castilian Puchero served/cooked in earthen pot, the tiesto) . ***Tiestos are large pots of food. As such, It’s a terrific concept of couple/family dining.. NOTABLY, Qala is the Bolivian term for stone or rock, which to many refers to the rock of family! The menu built on the Tiesto with great choices of meat, fish, vegetable/vegetarian or combination dishes. They are served with shareable portions of starches (rice, semolina, potatoes, mote, etc), additional salads and saucesIT IS A FEAST AT VERY REASONABLE PRICES. ***The menu is certainly one that invites repeat visits The cocktails and wine list is also very reasonably priced. Tiesto Del Mar::: a feast of the sea. A lovely and yes hearty fresh seafood Puchero in the most flavorful stew sauce. It’s loaded with prawns, large chunks of fish, squid and octopus. Service is outstanding. The restaurant has a very airy ambiance. It’s in two levels over looking the river. We had the tiestos, beef chicken with blue cheese . Service was great very welcoming and friendly. Sat on the top level overlooking the river. Easily one of the best meals we’ve had in Cuenca. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
